Volunteers Are Always Needed & Welcomed!

The Bemus Point Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the community for over 100 years. The department is equipped for firefighting, water and ice rescue, and emergency medical services, covering the range of situations that come with life on and around Chautauqua Lake.

The department is actively looking for new volunteers. Members receive free training across a range of certifications, including EMT, interior and exterior firefighting, lifeguard, fast water rescue, and cold water rescue. No prior experience is necessary to get involved.
